Trimble Software

Mapco is an authorized distributor of Trimble Mapping GIS and GPS products. We provide both the GPS receivers used to collect the data, as well as the software to put it to use. Several of these products are listed below; for more information about these and other additional products, see the Trimble website for receivers and software.

GIS Software

TerraSync Software

The TerraSync™ software is powerful field software, designed for fast and efficient data collection and maintenance. Teamed up with a supported Trimble® GPS receiver and a field computer of your choice, it’s all you need to capture high-quality data for informed decision making.

Runs on Trimble’s integrated GeoExplorer® 2008 series handhelds, Trimble’s affordable Juno™ series handhelds, the rugged Trimble Ranger™ handheld, the Trimble Recon® series handhelds, and Trimble Nomad® G series handhelds, or a user-supplied field computer running a Microsoft® Windows® operating system. See our mobile computing page for more information.

GPScorrect Extension for ESRI ArcPad

The Trimble® GPScorrect™ extension for ESRI ArcPad software lets you take full control of your Trimble GPS receiver, and adds the power of differential correction to ArcPad. With the GPScorrect extension and ArcPad software, it’s easier than ever to bring GPS and GIS data together.

The GPScorrect extension ensures that you have the most reliable and accurate data for your GIS. With postprocessed differential correction, you can improve the accuracy of your GPS positions from 10 meters to submeter or even decimeter-level (10 cm / 4 inch) accuracy, depending on the environment and your GPS receiver.

TrimPix Pro

The Trimble® TrimPix™ Pro system provides the tools to take high-resolution photos with a digital camera and wirelessly transfer them in real-time to a Trimble® Windows Mobile handheld for seamless integration into your field data collection workflow.

A key feature of the TrimPix Pro system is that photos are transferred from the camera to the handheld immediately after they are taken, allowing you to confirm that the image is linked properly and the quality is acceptable before moving to the next field asset. This real-time access minimizes the effort spent in the field capturing multiple images and eliminates the back-office work previously required to process the images in bulk. The result is a much more streamlined workflow that can save a significant amount of time and effort for every field worker.

GPS Pathfinder

The Trimble® GPS Pathfinder® Office software is a powerful and easy-to-use software package of GNSS postprocessing tools incorporating Trimble® DeltaPhase™ differential correction technology, designed to develop GIS information that is consistent, reliable, and accurate from GNSS data collected in the field.

The GPS Pathfinder Office software includes quality control features critical for enterprise GIS data development. For example, collected features can be compared against any number of background datasets such as vector GIS data, aerial photographs or satellite imagery in order to verify accuracy and detect conflicts. Background data can be imported to the GPS Pathfinder Office software from GIS systems, directly from imagery files, or referenced directly from a web map server.

Data Format Extensions For FME

GPS data collected in the field becomes more valuable once it is available in a variety of GIS and other enterprise asset information repositories. However, translating data from field collection projects into the required spatial data formats and insuring proper data model schemas are used while preserving data integrity can be challenging. Today there are an ever increasing number of formats and versions that must be supported in a typical corporate GIS environment, often making it difficult to efficiently bring your field data to the office.
