Land Surveying

In addition to being a full-service GPS/GIS firm Mapco also offers a full range of conventional surveying services. With over (20) twenty years of experience in traditional survey practices using a variety of equipment such as EDM/total stations, data collectors, transits, levels, and many more, Mapco is ready to fulfill all your surveying needs.

Whether it’s boundary, topographic, wetlands, monitoring wells, environmental surveys, roadway, construction or other stakeout, Mapco offers a unique ability to combine its GPS expertise with traditional survey methods to achieve optimal results for its clients. Once the field work is completed, Mapco will digitally reduce the data to deliver the project as quickly as possible. Surveys can be delivered digitally for inclusion in project engineering directly over the Internet.

Mapco project managers are able to personally follow your project from “field to finish” without the miscommunication, delays, and errors that may occur when a project is handed from one person or department to the next.

Mapco’s personnel are experienced in topographic and boundary surveys ranging from small house lots to lots over several hundred acres. Our experience also includes building, development, and roadway stakeout. Mapco also has experience with a wide variety of environmental surveys, including test well location for NJDEP Form B’s, wetlands location and monitoring surveys to ascertain building wall and floor, and bulkhead movement.

Mapco also has extensive experience with various plane coordinate systems, geodetic horizontal, and vertical datums. All work can be done on site coordinate systems or tied and reduced into State Plane Coordinates. As more government agencies require State Plane Coordinates on surveys it will be important to know which company can get the job down correctly.

Mapco is also an authorized surveyor for SmartVent foundation flood vents.

Mapco’s personnel are thoroughly trained to work with a diverse set of instruments. Not only do we operate the most advanced GPS surveying and mapping receivers, but we also use the latest traditional survey technology. We use instruments such as the Geodimeter 610 robotic total station with TDS data collection and the Topcon DL-102 digital level to improve accuracy and productivity while lowering costs for our customers.
